Spring/Summer is here...

New Marion vidal goods are here.  Also, please stop by TORTOISE if you are in Los Angeles.
We have a selection of jewels at their lovely store.

Marion Vidal - A new Paris home

On a recent trip to Paris, I had the pleasure to see Marion Vidal's new boutique/studio whilst
they were still putting on the finishing touches. Marion designed the shop herself - there is a
wonderful balance of raw elements inherent to the space and contemporary interventions. We
love the angled display wall to ensure passers-by are enticed to stop in. Lookout for the reflec-
tion of Montmarte in the mirror when you try on her pieces. If you are in Paris, please visit.

Marion stores her ceramic elements in egg cartons, very good idea!

Working on the "tic-tak" series.

Evolution of oxidized silver...

This is my Marianne Anderson ring after a
year of wear.  The black - colored oxidization
has polished to reveal the color of silver -
accentuating the intricate pattern of the band.

Work Horse & Modes of Transportation

Love at first sight.  New work by Dana Hart-Stone.  If you are in San Fran-
cisco go see his work in person at Brian Gross Fine Arts and experience it
up close.  Dana started collecting polaroids years ago and has been creating
this amazing body of work, a tapestry-like collage of found images trans-
ferred onto canvas.

How ironic that I would choose the 2 pictured above titled;

Work Horse, 2011; acrylic on canvas; 60 × 48 inches
Modes of Transportation, 2011; acrylic on canvas; 60 × 48 inches
