Chariots on Fire was asked by
Keiko x Keiko (Japan) to source antique jewellery pieces of western origin that could be converted as obidome, creating a truly east meets west object. An obidome goes through an obijime silk cord on the obi (kimono tie). The challenge was to find pieces that could merge well with a Japanese aesthetic for a very traditional item. We carefully selected and gathered a beautiful collection of Victorian sterling silver bullet pins with stunning intricate detail.
