Who needs gemstones? During the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 1900s, Ruskin Pottery began creating small ceramic or enamel cabochons to set into jewelry and accessories. Soon Liberty of London caught onto the trend and began replacing gemstones with the stunning ceramic and enamel plaques from Ruskin Pottery. The glazed pieces emanate vibrant, layered colors unique to these materials. This piece has a magical enamel plaque in deep blues and green, set in sterling silver with very subtle patterns around the edge.
