Incense to Listen
Listening to: Miles Davis / OMD / Brian Eno / New Order (Album Art: Peter Saville) / Rolling Stones / Stone Roses
Incense to Listen is an ode to the warmth of analog sound and the art of listening. Our original product packaging celebrates pressed records, album art, and the tactile beauty of music — a small ritual that honors sound, sight, and presence.
Incense to Listen originated in May 2024 at The Goldwyn House—The Future Perfect, Los Angeles. During the inaugural Design Miami/LA, Chariots on Fire presented High Fire #3: Planet Wakusei, an immersive exhibition featuring alchemist potter Tenshin Juba from Japan, curated by Ritsuko Yagi.
It was within this environment that historic incense house Nippon Kodo (est. 1575) invited Chariots on Fire to collaborate.
The result is a celebration of Mon-ko (聞香)—the Japanese art of “listening to incense”—housed inside an original Chariots on Fire Incense to Listen 7” 45 RPM Vinyl Edition, created in a strict limited edition of 150.
Handcrafted Japanese incense for intentional moments. Quietly elevates meditation, reading, and creative work—transforming everyday moments into intentional sensory experiences.
Packaged in 7” 45rpm vinyl record sleeve / limited run of 150
