PRINTED MATTER

Print isn’t dead. Chariots on Fire believes in bringing ideas into object-hood—be it through the process of setting blocks of ink to paper; or arranging type to be letter-pressed; or folding and binding pages into book-form. In fact, given our background in graphic design, ‘printed matter’ remains an inextricable component of Chariots on Fire, embedded within our very DNA.

As we translate stories into their most beautiful, tactile iterations, we compel the hand, the eye, and the mind. ‘Printed matter’ lives on: as stimulus of conversation, and conduit for further and future circulation.

Gerry Beckley’s America

“I always enjoy getting a photograph from Gerry on his travels, the modern equivalent of a postcard, a picture with a message. His keen eye ranges freely from the very abstract to the very real and can find the special in the ordinary.”

— Margaret Howell

“A photography book that could only have been put together by him who traveled the world over time with great eyes.”

— Hiroshi Fujiwara
